Fun Activities For a Kids’ Slumber Party

Looking for fun activities to make your kid’s slumber party unforgettable? We’ve got you covered with exciting games, crafts, cozy moments, and crowd-favorite challenges to keep everyone entertained all night long!

Games Galore 🎲

Balloon Pop Schedule: Want a fun way to reveal the next activity at your slumber party? Bring on the balloons! Write the activity on a small piece of paper and fold it up and stick it inside a balloon. Inflate the balloon and write a specific time on the outside of it with a marker. When that time arrives, have one of the kids pop the balloon to see what activity is next!

Board Games: Nothing beats a classic board game! Favorites like Twister, Monopoly, Scrabble, Don’t Step In It, Watch Ya Mouth, HedBanz, and Who Tooted? always bring the laughs.

Printable Games: Easy, fun, and zero stress. Print a few favorites like Emoji Bingo, Movie Bingo, or Would You Rather, and you’re instantly party-ready. Want even more options? Check out our full list of free printable sleepover activities and games.

Challenging Fun 🤔

Blindfolded Makeover: This one is guaranteed chaos (and laughs). Apply makeup while blindfolded and reveal the final looks with a big “TA-DA!”

The "Don't Laugh!" Challenge: Someone makes silly faces, does funny walks, tells jokes… and everyone has to stay serious. The first one to laugh loses!

Truth or Dare: A classic for a reason. Sit in a circle with a bottle in the middle. Spin it, and whoever it points to chooses truth or dare. (Pro tip: keep dares fun and age-appropriate.)

Selfie Scavenger Hunt: Create a list of funny challenges and let them snap their way through the night. Bonus: you’ll have adorable photos to look back on.

Musical Sleeping Bags: Like musical chairs… but cozier. Lay sleeping bags in a circle (one fewer than the number of kids). Play music, walk around, and when the music stops, everyone dives into a sleeping bag. The kid left standing is out!

Talented Performances 🎤

Talent Show: Singing, dancing, comedy, gymnastics, magic tricks… let them shine!

At-Home Karaoke: Grab a mic + speaker and let them sing their hearts out.

Name That Tune: Play a few seconds of a song and see who can guess it first.

Pajama Fashion Show: Create a “runway” and let everyone strut their stuff in their cutest sleepwear and strike silly poses.

Kids’ sleepover talent show fun with music, dancing, and lots of laughs.

Crafty Creations ✨

DIY Pizza Making: Mini pizzas + endless toppings = the perfect slumber party dinner activity.

Craft Station: Friendship bracelets, decorating pillowcases, or a fun DIY that doubles as a take-home party favor.

Homemade Slime: Colorful, gooey fun with just a few ingredients!

Ingredients:

• 8-ounce bottle Elmer’s white school glue

• 1 1/2–2 tablespoons contact saline solution (or slime activator)

Slime time = the ultimate sleepover excitement (and so easy to make!).

• 1 tablespoon baking soda

• Food coloring (optional)

Instructions:

• Combine glue and food coloring in a bowl and stir until mixed.

• Mix in baking soda.

• Add saline solution and stir until combined. If it’s too sticky, add 1/2 tablespoon more at a time.

• Knead the slime until it holds together.

• Store in a container with a lid or a Ziploc bag.

Helpful hints:

• Use plastic bowls and spoons to make cleanup easier.

• Get your color right before adding saline (it’s harder to mix once it thickens).

• For thicker slime, add more saline. For a slimier texture, add less.

• Play on a placemat or plastic tablecloth.

• Add fun extras like glitter or scented oils.

• If slime gets in hair, rub coconut oil or olive oil on it and comb it out.

Homemade Lip Balm: A sweet little DIY that feels fancy and fun, and the kids love taking them home.

Ingredients:

• 3 Tablespoons coconut oil (mango butter, shea butter, or cocoa butter can be used instead)

• 1 Tablespoon sweet almond oil (olive oil or avocado oil can be used instead)

• 2 Tablespoons beeswax pastilles (or use carnauba wax)

• 20 drops of essential oil (lavender, vanilla, peppermint, or orange are great options)

• 8–12 empty lip balm containers or lip balm tins

Instructions:

• Remove the lids from the lip balm tubes and set them upright on a flat, steady surface.

• Measure the coconut oil, sweet almond oil, and beeswax and melt in a double boiler.

• Remove from heat and stir in essential oils.

• Pour into tubes or tins.

• Allow the lip balm to set, then cap the containers.

Spa Night 💅

Time to pamper! Turn the night into a mini spa party with cute, easy activities.

  • Manicures and Pedicures: Set up a mini nail station and let them pick colors.
